So whatever holds the "O-Ring" (red) on the end of the shifter cable to the "nub" (green) on the bottom of the gear shifter in my 2007 Automatic broke today. I was stuck in neutral until I figured out what the issue was.

How can I fix this? I'd rather not wait until Monday to possibly have to order the correct part.

Zip tie or wire twist tie. My father in law had same issue in a Dodge Avenger, the collet was $35 and must only have cost $1 to produce.

I'm glad I found the part. Easy fix and it works as advertised. I'll pay the $35 instead of having to replace the whole cable.
