Does anyone know if this rear bumper tube (is it correct for me to call it a rear-runner?) is custom made, of if I can actually get it somewhere? Its off of the stillen website advertising one of the exhausts.

Thanks!!!

is anyone making a rear tube bumper with a receiver hitch? after last sundays off road venture, i've decided on a roll pan and a pre-runner rear bumber or maybe just the bumper. the *** end just sticks out way too far.

How bad? Got a picture to post? Sometimes a stock bumper is more cost effective. But depends how much off-roadin' you do.

i didnt damage the rear bumper. at least i dont think so. none that i can see at least.

i did drag it a couple of times on some drop offs and climbs. it just sticks out more than i like it to.

if your going to get a tubed bumper for the rear i would'nt even bother w/ a roll pan since it will already look pretty good w/ just the bumper and it's a good way to save yourself a few hundred $.

you are probably right. i just didnt want the unfinished look of not having a roll pan. as soon as i find a rear bumper, i'm taking the stocker off.

That's funny that CALMINI was mentioned because I did go to their website right after and saw the rear tube bumper for the older Frontier; really nice! I also e-mailed them about the 2005-6 Frontiers, and this is what they had to say:

"Sir-

Pre-runner bumpers are currently in production for the front and rear of both body style Frontiers from 2001-2004 and 2005-2006. They will be released on the website as the availability nears. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your interest in the CALMINI Nissan line. Awaiting your reply.

I agree with SD_Frontier about the rollpan with the tube bumper. It just looks like there's something missing w/o it. Either way, I think they look awesome.

Were you looking at a metal rollpan to get welded on, or one of those urethane ones like on stillen's website?

did you miss the group buy on the shrockworks rock sliders? at least a dozen people ordered them from shrockworks. i have also seen them on AC's website for some time.

link---->AC Rock Sliders for $315 - bare steel and $365 for black powder coat.

EDIT it may be my settings but links dont show up as anything outof the ordinary until you put your pointer over them. is this the same for everyone?

Yeah I actually thought about getting in on that group buy but I personally like the boxed look of the Calmini sliders better. So i guess I'll just wait. :(

As for the Links, they show the same way for me. I don't think there is a setting for it either.

Yah, the links look the same for me too. Its funny 'cuz when you're making your post and scroll through the topic review on the bottom, they show up as blue.

Anyway, the CALMINI tube bumper won't be able to be used with a rollpan. I should've seen them in the pic of the older style Frontier. It actually bolts straight through to the frame in replacement of the stock bumper to accomodate the tow points on the bumper itself. I still think it looks awesome though, so I can't wait.

I'm gonna have all these parts in the garage w/o the truck!!! Hahaha. . .

too bad the tube bumpers for the front and rear arent even out yet. even the ones for the 2004 and below arfe still on pre order. calmini really needs to hurry up. in fact, all the nissan fabricators need to hurry up.

Man, that's what I'm sayin'. I've always wondered what the hell was wrong with the aftermarket and Nissan trucks. Everyone is so quick to move on every other truck but this one! And its not like this is a crappy truck either!

In fact, when I e-mailed Lund about a hood protector, this is what they said:

"Unfortunately, production numbers for the Frontier do not justify a
tooling expense for this part on your vehicle. We constantly reevaluate
these numbers and there may be a chance this could change in the future.
I apologize for not having what you need."

Thank God for the companies that are out now producing an aftermarket Frontier owners can dip into, albeit at a lower level than that of a Tacoma or any other truck for that matter.
