That's all there is to it. Pop the tray out, remove the screw, and the whole center section pulls straight out. Easiest interior piece to remove in the entire truck
HELP: Can't get center dash out!!!!
I am trying to replace my stock radio and center dash piece does not come out like the metra kit states!!!
I can unclip it at the bottom, but then the top is still stuck... I tried for 1 hour prying it different ways and it simply does not come out!

worked on my 2010 SE. One screw at top, then pull the rest straight out towards the back of the truck.
For some reason, some of us with '09 and '10 trucks have 3 screws to remove before the center dsh piece comes out. See the pictures in this thread:

guess no one knows how to search or even just look anymore. this is the 3rd post about this in as many days i believe.
Some don't know it's there and other times if you don't word it correctly it may not yield the info they seek.

Yep better to ask than break something for sure. It'd be different if the search function worked OK here but it doesn't. One thing I don't get is why the replacement panels for the 09-10 models are smooth rather than textured as from the factory.

I kinda like the smooth look. It matches the tray over it a little better than the factory one.
I have the navigation pod up top and that has the dimpled surface.
Should I change the radio the panels wouldn't match.
