My name is Newbs and I'm in Fayetteville, AR

Today I'm trying to install a in-dash garage door remote based on this guide: DIY: Integrate your battery-free garage door opener into your dash! - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum

It's been pretty easy so far but I am having trouble finding a good spot to tap into the Frontier's 12v power. Currently I'm taking the entire dash apart to see if I can just go into one of the cigarette lighter wires, because I haven't yet found a useful map of which wires do what behind the fusebox.

Anyways, hello! :D

Well, I got it all figured out... too bad it only works sometimes!

Previously I had thought my remote's random bouts of non-working-ness was the fault of the loose battery contacts. Now that it has a steady stream of 12v from the truck, it still only works sometimes! Guess I should've used a new opener.

Also, I accidentally burned up a chunk of one of my blank switch covers with the soldering iron. Anyone know a place to get a cheap replacement?
