Hi,
Newbie here. I am an Engineer here at the Nissan production plant in Smyrna, TN where your Frontier was built. I have owned many Nissans over the years but this is the first time I have ran across this site. Glad I did! Seems as though many aftermarket and auto part related companys never carry products for our Nissans so I'm thinking the time here will be well spent with the combined experience of ownership on this site.

Thanks for accepting my registration and I will do everything in my power to help anyone I can. I'm not an expert by any means but I do know a few things and the resources I have here at Nissan may be useful to someone.

Currently Own:
2001 Frontier, SE, Desert Runner, 152K.
2004 Xterra, SE, 4x4, 128K.

Welcome. Did the plant tour a few years back. Really enjoyed it.
When I toured the plant back in 2006 we got talk to the techs afterwards. I asked about the crushed Y pipe on the crossover pipe on the exhaust. They said it didn't hurt the preformance. Alot of us here think othewise. Lot's of us put on aftermarket full port Y's on our Frontiers. I'm not a engineer by no means but I have heard of catalytic converter going bad on some. Maybe it's on the side that is pinched that is not get the full flow. Why can't Nissan spend a couple more $'s to put a full port Y crossover pipe on. Thanks
