Hello,

I stumbled on to this site while looking for information on skid plates. I’ve owned my 1999 Frontier since 2002 (Purchased it after crushing the exhaust on my Honda). It had 43k on it when I purchased it, and now has 170k. I gotta say I have been really happy with how durable, and low maintenance it’s been.

Now that it’s the second car, I’m looking at putting some armor on, and limited slip differentials (maybe a rear locker).

You have 3 bump stops on your hood. You need to grease the contact points, and say good bye to your squeeks, the hoods are light and move a lot and make lots and lots and lots of noise. The noises you think you hear behind or in the rear of the truck....check your hood. Its super lame, but they can be noisy hoods.
