I have a 2012 frontier v-6. On cold mornings I can start the truck and turn the heat on to warm it up but theres no heat. Just cold air. Now the truck gets up to temp just fine but still blows cold until I start driving and that’s when the heat works fine. What’s the cause of this?

Check air in the coolant system. Do a correct bleed out of the air.

Coolant levels are fine tho.
I think this happens to every frontier, Xterra and pathfinder with a v6. Not sure about the 4 bangers but I’ve had to do this on two so far, my newer frontier hasn’t needed it yet.. someone else may have done it for me.🙂
Easy fix just do as suggested and you’ll be warm again!

Ya I just over filled my overflow reservoir (well its not really an overflow reservoir) heat was not working so good at idle and now its fine.
The OP may have some air pockets though...
