I was wondering if anyone has bought headers for '02 XE-V6. I have looked everywhere but I couldn't find any. But I found someone that will make them custom. I was wondering if that would be as good as ones made just for my truck??

You can always go to spencerlowracing.com but, the word is that their quality is low and they're only for off road, something about the positioning of the cats.

I've thought about making my own. Maybe after the blower gets ported. If you have them made, be sure to give us the particulars.

I've got SLR Headers and am well satisfied with them on my 02 CCLB. I just loosened everything up and wiggled a little bit and everything went back together. Bolted it up to the stock cats and a "Custom Tube Products" dual stainless exhaust. Ive got two 02CCLBs I run a pool service company. One truck, listed above, two truck has a "Gibson" aluminized catback. I like the sound of number 1 truck better than number 2 truck. The Gibson seems to drone more at highway speed which is why it has a bigger amp.

That system on your no. 1 truck sounds like what I want to do w/my '01CCSB, when the stock muffler finally goes. So the SLR headers bolted right to the cats? What about O2 sensors, any problems with those? Will your truck still go thru emissions?
As far as the duals go, do you mean 2 mufflers and 2 exhaust? I still can't figure out how to get true duals out the back, w/o losing the spare. Sidepipes are a possibility, but the gas tank would have to be well sheilded.
I'm considering dual magnaflow 50s w/slightly smaller than stock exhaust pipes/larger tail pipes.
Sorry for all the questions, but your system sound right, so I thought I'd pick your brain.

Thanks for the link. That looks like "the" exhaust. All I need now is a popped muffler and I'll be ordering one of those systems.
I've got 90K on my factory exhaust. I'm over here in Northern Virginia. Any body have an estimate of the life of a muffler? I think it's going to be a toss up between the muffler and cracked header(s) as far as state inspection goes.
I've got a May sticker on a cracked windshield (wiper blades are lasting longer than the windshields), so I'll need a buck seventy-five for that. The Firehawks will barely make it through a May insp. (think I'll do an early insp. and run maypops). 5 of those guys'll run a thousand by the time it's out the door. Set of headers and this dual exhaust will almost bust the the bank at around $1200. Might have to wait on the headers. Oh, yeah, can't forget the Bils. Might as well say $275 for those in the next few months. They're on the winter list.
Jeez, this is an expensive work truck. But it does put a smile on my face. Kept running premium through the gas burn. So, if the price stays around $2.50/gal. the difference will cover the tires.
Oh, crap, I forgot the timing belt, etc. That's due in April. Another $300 or so. I've already got a pump.
In addition to all that, my wife just told me she's pregnant, again. Whew. 2006 is going to be an expensive year. Guess I better get lucky on the poker tables and hit the boss up for some mileage money. Later.

Well I got good news and bad news. The bad news, I sent an email to "Custom Tube Products" to see if they had a sound file and possibly a cold air intake. The exhaust has been discontinued and all automotive products have been placed on hold. The good news, you get to spend your hard earned cash on something even more worthwhile.
