If so, how did you reliable plug the holes to prevent water ingress?

There was a thread on this that I read somewhere prior to buying a Frontier. I believe the consensus was to use a wide, flat-headed bolt or screw with a rubber washer up against the body, and use some mild thread locker if one is concerned about the screws backing-out.
