Over the past few weeks I have been getting all the bits together and now finally have got it all installed.
I have installed an electric actuator and frame so I can open the hardcover when I want and no more having it locked etc
This is a quick movie I took tonight to show it in operation
If anyone wants more info gimme a yell and I will try to help out

Excellent job on the opener! We do have much talent in this forum.
Did you cut the top around the bars or was it made for you that way?

Its the factory hard cover and it comes with the cover in 3 parts so we get the sports bars etc.
I was actually just touching the wires to power to run it. I will be installing basic switching today. I will use a DPDT switch to drive it for now. I will be building up a set of timers so I can just hit a button and it will either open fully close or open partially. Just basic timer circuits will do the job.
To date all up the job owes me $150 , $100 for the actuator and $50 for the alloy. With all the framework and brackets etc the job used just on 6meters of alloy 50mm x 25mm 3mm wall tube, that 1" x 2" x 1/8" in US speak lol
