Hankook was nice enough to send us a couple of T-shirts to giveaway here on clubfrontier so we have decided to do a drawing for them. Here's how it works.

If you are running a set of Hankook tires on your frontier snap a few pictures, post them up here and write a short review. Please include how many miles you have on them, what size they are and a few thoughts about how they are doing for you. Those that post a review (with pictures) will be entered into a drawing for a Free Hankook T-shirt. Two entrants will win. The drawing will be done on May 28th, 2010.

Thank you in advance for participating. For those looking for an affordable All Terrain tire, take a look at the Hakook RF10 ATM. This is one of the few All terrain tires with a mileage warranty in the P-metric sizes. Here's a link to full details, sizes and specs: Hankook RF10 ATM

I was gonna get Nitto TeraGrapplers but the sales rep at discount tire told me he couldnt get them for me and sold me these hankooks instead.

I ended up getting the KMC XD Addict 18x9 (not by choice). I originally wanted the Motometal 951s and I thought he was ordering these for me and then he pulls the Addict out the box and I said WTF thats not the motometal. He then told me he couldnt get those either.

He ended up selling me the hankook 265/70/18, which seems a lot smaller than what I should be running on a 6 inch lift.

Whats sad, is I worked at discount for this guy 10 years ago, and hes also a family friend, I feel I got screwed, I walked out today with a different tire and wheel than I wanted.
Total price though = 1414.

He said the 265/70/18 is a 32.5 inch tire, and for 130 each I cant be too sad, but I would like to know what sizes I could go bigger with a 6 inch lift because it just seems small.

I ran 285 50 20 hankook venturs ST tries on my frontier untill the day it was wrecked. Ran them from for 2 and half nice weather season april-november. Put roughly 25k on them very spirited driving. With a mildly built motor and some suspension tweaks the tires were the perfect complement to the sport truck look. They had great grip in the dry for tight cornering and responded mid corner to throttle inputs. Over all I ran these tires close to their limits in normal driving and they soaked it up. More then pleased with how well the would grip in the rain as well simple put they are the best summer sport truck tires I've ever run and rank up there in my favorite DD sport tires of all time.

I began searching for tires when my Frontier reached 28,000 miles. The stockers were shot! I read reviews here and settled on the Yokohama Geolander. The price quotes were better than the Toyos AT's I normally buy. During my decision time, one member of this forum installed the Hankook-RF10-ATM's so I did some reading. Not alot of comments due to the fact the tire had just been released but what I found said this was likley to be the best AT Tire produced. My local Toyo dealer had just started to sell the Hankooks so I asked for a quote - Less than all the others...? It may be they were trying to move some to get sales going or whatever the case, I was sold. Having just installed a mild lift kit I was able to up-size to the LT285/75R16. I was immediatley impressed by the look and continued to be happy with the very low amount of road noise. The road noise has decreased with use also. Rain/Wet traction seems to be on par with the other tires I have put on he top of my list and was only let down once when it came to the snow traction. I had the rear tires break grip during a trip I was on. It happened when I started to accelerate while climbing a grade and had the rear of the truck start to swing out but was able to correct it by quickly getting the 4X4 engaged. I returned to the tire shop and made them aware of what occurred so they "siped" them free. Since then I have had no other issues and am putting the Hankooks back on my list of tires to consider in the future. This is a work truck and there will be many more times I'll get to put them to the test..

So we don't get too off topic in this thread. I will PM you. I should be able to help you. I am sorry to hear you haven't had the best experience.

I was just about worn through on a set of Bridgestone Deuler Revos. Going into winter, I figured I might as well spend the money and get another set. So, I did some price shopping. I checked a local truck shop and got a little better price than the other guys. Then he started telling me about Hankook Dynapro ATMs. He showed me a set, I liked the look. His price was WAY under the Revos. So I ordered a set. They got me through the bad winter roads we had without so much as a blink. In snow and what little bit of mud I've been in, they've been awesome! The only complaint I have is with their wet pavement traction. I actually had a tire break loose going around a wet curve when I hit the center line. Leaving a stop sign and crossing the wide painted stop line on a wet road - they'll break loose almost every time unless I baby it. Never had that happen with ANY other tire. Over all, I'm happy with them. Couldn't beat the price!

Hankook DynaPro ATM's

I just got my Frontier a month ago and the tires (General Grabber AT's) are almost new so I don't have any plans to replace them right now, but when I do I'll most likely be going with another set of Hankooks since I've had nothing but good experiences with them in the past.

I got the Hankook DynaPro ATM's (RF10) for my Jeep Grand Cherokee last November - and man am I glad that I did. I was thinking about holding out until a local tire shop got some Yokohama Geolanders in stock based on reviews that I had read online, but decided that and figured I'd trust the other buzz that I was hearing about the RF10's. I knew the Hankook DynaPro AT (RF08's) got some pretty questionable reviews and were supposedly horrible in the snow, but the initial reviews I was hearing indicated that whatever Hankook changed for the RF10's, they were getting things right. I got them for about $150 each for 245/65/17's.

The RF10's were AWESOME in the snow. I live in Pittsburgh and we got hammered this year; 22+ inches on day in early February and numerous other 4+ inch snowfalls. I never questioned once going out with these tires on. The RF10's were worlds better than the OEM Goodyear Wrangler RS-A's that came on the Jeep in other normal weather handling as well.

Before my Jeep I had a 2003 Maxima. The OEM Bridgestone Potenze RE 092's had great dry traction, but wore super quickly and were horrible in the wet and snow. I replaced those with some Kumho Ecsta ASX's....they only lasted about 10k miles; what a waste of money....then I got smart and got my first set of Hankooks after my FIL recommended the IceBear W300's - they're advertised as a winter tire, but since I was on a limited income (in grad school at the time) I used them all year round. They were awesome in snow (and ice) and great in all other weather conditions; not too noisy and definately worth the price (about $130/each for 225/50/17's) . They wore extremely well too; I put about 10k miles on them in 9 months and they barely looked used at all. I definately recommend these tires for a passenger car, but can't really comment on how they'd perform on a truck.

I'm not trying to blow smoke up Hankook (or DTD's) *ss and could care less about a free t-shirt. I'm putting this out there because I've been that impressed with Hankook tires and think everyone ought to give them a try. They're well worth the money (usually an awesome deal) and are great performing tires. Just my $.02.

YAHOO, my tires showed up
I got the ATM RF-10's in LT, not P in 265/75-16, the standard tire size on my PRO-4X
I can't wait to get them on, the crap OEM BFG's are nearly bald, less than 20k miles
