Here is another vote on Clay Bar but I recently switched to NanoSkin:
This works just as well and if you drop it on the ground you can clean it. One drop with clay bar and it is toast. I just use a spray bottle of soapy Dawn water for lube for clay bar or Nano Skin.
Only use microfiber towels!
for drying:
Another wax system from Meguiar's is their Ultimate products:
I had to compound mine for water spots and sap and this brand is mild. Then used the Polish as recommended. But the Ultimate Liquid Wax is superb and doesn't leave the wax dust in crevices. It also holds a better shine than the paste.
Compound:
Pre-wax Polish:
Liquid Wax
So if you have greasy elbows and want it done right:
1. Wash with Dawn soap (Two Bucket Method with Grit catchers)
2. Nano Skin (Clay Bar)
3. Wash again with Dawn
4. Ultimate Compound (most need it for water spots, tree sap, etc)
5. Ultimate Pre-Wax Polish
6. Finally...Ultimate Liquid Wax.
7. Sunglasses for the mirror shine that will last a long time. :nerd:
