Hey folks, I made a total bone head move the other day and rear ended someone. I was going about 4 mph so the damage was minimal to the Frontier, but it still had damage. The plastic front bumper needs to be replaced, and so does the bumper retaining bracket behind the bumper.

I've received quotes from two body shops and both are right around $1100. I priced the bumper and bracket on Rock Auto for $300 shipped, I would just need to get it painted. I think this is the route I'm going to go.

Have any of you bought stuff off of Rock Auto? I know their stuff isn't OE so I'm a little hesitant due to possible fitment issues.

I'm also considering upgrading right now and replacing my one piece bumper with just the older single piece upper fascia and a Shrock works or Calmini. I imagine it will fit, but can anyone validate my concern?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!

I have bought from Rock Auto and never had a problem. I spent part of the winter in Arizona near a body shop where they routinely installed aftermarket bumper skins, brackets, etc. and the vehicles always look original when completed (they never mentioned fitment problems to me).

I've bought from RockAuto almost a dozen times, they're good. As to body parts, I've bought new door lock cylinders and a front bumper for my '88 Mazda truck, and a new front bumper and plastic under-grille for my daughter's '98 Pathfinder.

Another thumbs up for Rockauto here. Most recently bought a new serpentine belt for my Frontier.
