wow...i never realized we had more hp than the tacoma's. I'm definitely rubbin' that in tacoma owners faces haha.

yes we have more HP but are 500lbs heaver, also they are a little better geared so the have a little more get up.

I have driven a 2010 Tacoma CC 4X4 with tyhe TRD package for about 4 weeks as a loaner. I like the Frontier much better in all respects

Do the Tacomas turn any sharper? I love mine, but the turning radius is terrible.

The weight difference is due to the fact the frontier has a box frame and a real bed....I'll take the weight.

That is the reason I own a Frontier and not a taco. Well that and at the time (06) no rear discs and ABS was an option...

Before buying my truck I did look at a Taco. I Hated the telescopic steering column! The plastic bed was what caused me to RUN (not just walk) away from the Taco.

Just out of curiosity, why would you hate a telescopic steering wheel? I love when vehicles have that feature.

Toyota, moving foward.......even when you dont want to.i hate to dump a load of rip rap in the bed of a taco it might just go all the way thru.i work with a couple of guys that have tacos they say nissans are no good,(then they had that big recall:nana

When I looked at the Tacoma's in '09 the TRD I looked at still didn't have rear discs. Goodbye Toyota, thanks for playing.

Anybody ever see a video of a stock tacoma and frontier race? Always wondered which would pull out ahead over say 0 to 100. I think with wot restriction off the frontier would beat it off the line, really the only place I'm unsure of...
The tacoma I test drove felt pretty quick off the line, but not near as fast once you're rolling and punch it.
