Hey all, I've seen a couple of mods some of you have done (like the $20 Grill Mod thread), but I'm sure there's quite a few more out there that I haven't seen yet. I just wanted to ask for some ideas that I could do to my grill because the stock grill is pretty boring. Thanks in advance for any replies!

Personally I think grill mods result in a pretty ghetto look. But I considered it at first when I bought my truck so I can understand the appeal of customization.

the $20 frill mod is to cut out the center grill area and replace it with hardware store extruded mesh.

You can buy a pre-made grill and pop out the existing one and replace it.

I have modded my grill some. I cut out some of the webbing thickness so that I can run "standard" 6" KC lights behind the grill.

I like the burger-less look.
Our OEM lower open grill needs some kind of mesh insert. Looks vulnerable & incomplete.

I don't care for the Grill Mod but do like the light placements behind grill...both function and aesthetic. Another option is a bull bar setup with lights on it...these isn't changing grill directly but can greatly change the front end look. N-Fab ones look great. The color matched grills are also a nice clean look and modernizes the truck some.

No need to switch out your grill. Just color match it to give it a new look :)

Edit: ^^I now hate photobucket.^^
What color/brand did you go with to try to color match it? I plan on doing the same. My grill was chrome, currently black, and soon to be K27-ish hopefully
