I dont wanna spend more then maybe 600 how about some advice from you guys on a good winch around that price

the summit brand are really T-max that is what I have and works well. They have pretty good reviews. I would look at 8000-10000LBs.

I haven't used any of their larger winches but have one of their 3000lb winches on my Rhino and love it. If they make all of their products to the same quality as the one I have, you won't be disappointed with the ProMark.

I've heard good things about Mile Markers. Don't know about Pro Mark though.

dont know much about smittybuilt but these come with synthetic rope already to save you some weight and peterson 4wheel drive mag tested the regular smittybuilt 8000 with steel cable and gave it pretty good reviews

Go with the M8000. I just got one locally off craigslist for $400 bucks. I have seen them online for about $530. Can't go wrong with a Warn.

Jeff, I just got the April issue of 4wheel & OFF-ROAD. There is a buyer's guide on all the winches out there with spec's.
