stopped dead at a light turning right.

kid in back of me thought I was moving and hit the gas running into my back bumper with his Intrepid. had the truck for two months!

needless to say I went ballistic.......but it just turned out that he ripped about a 2 inch gash in the plastic on the step part of the bumper. replacement cost of plastic piece: $19.99 thought it would be more. kind of embarrassed that I got so mad at the guy. (made his girlfriend cry)

the way he it me I thought my bumper was under the truck.

very solid truck. very inexpensive part from the dealer.

very happy truck owner!!

Heh, that first dent can be traumatic.
The 1st one on my '01 was a total sideswipe. Guy was in the left turn lane and decided he wanted to go thru, just as I reached his blind spot. He moved, I reacted, he reacted, we hit. Took out his passenger's mirror w/my front fender flare. Spit cleaned the flare and all was ok.

Same here in my '01......sideswiped by a guy doing 40 in a parking lot. Required replacement of the roof, floor pan, rear wall, bed, 2 rims, pillar, door, rocker panel, etc. All totalled spent 3 months in the shop and was $9,200 plus $1,300 for my rental truck. Got her back with all new paint and looking sharp though! Aas a side note, the guy that hit me tried to take off so I chased him through the lot and pulled him out of the drivers window, he smashed his front end and cracked his block. Motor crapped out on his before the cops could even get to the scene. Plymouth 0--Nissan 1 :D

Ditto on getting hit...

I had my 04 CC LB 1.5 months and got rearended by a lawn care co.'s GMC pickup pulling a trailer @ 30. He said he just didn't see me, Hmmm? No one was hurt except the lawn care co.'s wallet. Since the owner of the lawn co. said he'd cut me a check after I got the damage estimate, I got all new NISSAN parts. About $2400 & 4 days later, I got her back better than when I bought her. Damage to his truck was over $3000. GM-0 NISSAN-2. Good thing I had my tailgate and bed extender down or it could have been worse. Best thing was, the bumper on the pass side was damaged when I bought the truck (used) so I got a new bumper for free although I don't believe that's the recommended way to get a new bumper... :(
