This was probably answered before but to all you guys with deck, how did you get rid of the small gap between you hu and dash? The trim piece the deck came with has a bigger opening then the HU so its flush all arounf the top and sides but leaves like a 1/8" gap. I know its only a small gap but man, it bothers me when i can see the bottom of my deck! Would this work?

That kit is exactly what you require, yes. The only thing that you will use out of it is the trim ring, it will eliminate the gap. It sucks that you have to buy the whole kit for that one piece, though. I would contact Metra, I bet that they have just that ring that they could sell you as a part. I have the 4100DVD as well, it's a sweet deck. Wish the album art for the iPod was a bit clearer, though.

i had to bolt mine up and added some washers in it to get it to fit right. i used a dash kit from crutchfield all i used was the outer piece

I applied a piece of chrome trim to the top gap on my H/U, as shown below.

I have a 1st generation but have found the Metra kits to be the best as far as fit and finnish.
