Get Rid of This Plastic Railing?

Alright guys, simple question? Should I get rid of the gray faded plastic railing thats on the rails of the bed in the back of the truck and is circled in the picture of my truck? I just want to know if you guys think it looks better without it or not, but I know it also serves as protection from scratches and what not so IDK.

It's kinda your call... Some really cannot stand bed caps and some don't care; I'm in the latter group.
Put it this way, if you've scratched and gouged em'(like me).. I'd say keep em'.
Keep em
i think you should paint the rear bumper the same as your front..yea just keep it maybe paint it white
Keep em'... You'll end up regretting it... You're just bored... hahaha

Hahahah don't you hate that?? You're bored and go "hmmm what can I do/rip off/put onto my truck" lol
I'd say the bed is scratched up underneath them. I'd just leave it

SO true. hahaha. How'd all you guys know?

Actually its more like I want to do something else to my truck and what's the cheapest since I got no money.

Thanks for the replies though. I think the general consensus is just leave them on there.
id keep em and dont they have holes for the retaining clips on the bed rails anyway?
best cheap mods= battle scars when i get bored the thing i love to do most to my truck is drive it find a good dirt road and just cruise enjoy the outdoors take a sandwich and make a day of it get a few scratches get it dirty then when youre bored again you get to wash it clean out the inside and do it all over

im not real sure what your talking about. i dont think they do. are you saying they cover up holes?
I was thinking about a clutch bypass for an easy mod, but not sure if it can be done on the 2nd gens. or how it works, like im not sure if you can do it to a switch and just leave the switch on permanently.

It can be done, you can add a switch or just make it permanent, I would do a switch though, wouldn't want someone else to get in the truck and start it into a wall, tree, kid, or the family pet.

Lol second day I had my truck, I got bored, walked outside and ripped apart my entire dash just to see how it comes apart lol. Parents walked out just rolled their eyes and just walked away haha.
if you need an easy mod for cheap i would take the back bumper off and paint it black with bedliner or something

The 2nd gens do not have any retaining clips. I think Sly took his off along with some other 2nd gen owners. The "goo" and "gunk" is going to need some good cleaner but it will clean off.

My suggestion is that you just prep and paint them black along with your front bumper and door handles and if you want the rear bumper black, paint that too or just the plastic inserts. This is what I am planning on doing in the future (too much other crap happening right now).

This will pull together your whole white/black theme you have going on and will be cheap (prep spray and paint).
