when I start my truck gas begins to pur out of my tank. It looks to be coming somewhere on the top, which I cant see. It only leaks when the engine is running. Anyone had this issue before. It is still under powertrain warranty - will this be covered?

Sounds like the return line has sprung a leak, not sure aboot the waranty.

does the tank have a "return " line or does it just have a line that sends it to the engine?

Call your closest dealer, tow it there. Seriously, a truck under warranty should not be leaking gas... from anywhere.. unless you modified something you were not supposed to lol

Could it be a faulty vent control valve in the evap can?

The fuel tank is not part of the powertrain and not covered. For safety sake don't drive the truck and tow it to a repair shop.
