IS there any harm in using something to seal the gap between the dash plastic and the windshield glass? My sunshade keep getting stuck in there on the double-stick tape waaaay down at the bottom of the glass. I'm thinking of weatherstripping or something.

It's a 2008. I'm already on my second shade. The gap ate my old one in less that a week.

I have the shades that are 2 peice and you twist to "fold" them down. They do stick a little but are not tearing up and if you pull them at a good angle they don't stick at all.

I'm with Pilotguy and use the same with the same result. No sweat.

If you fill the gap with something, choose carefully so that if your windshield ever needs replacing, you don't create an irreversable problem.

Try not to stuff it too far in there. My sunshade occasionally gets attacked by the gap but all is still well.
