Go on Tacoma form (just read, don't stir the pot) and look at all the Fan Boy justification for Rear Drum Brakes on their overpriced Tacoma's!!:surprise:
Crazy, now I'm thinking I might have gotten the Big Sausage by getting vented discs on the rear of my 4x4 SV.
I grew up working on drum brakes and wouldn't hit a dog in the arse with one.
Cheap Buggers!

Well, we did get something caught between the disc and the rim during the 1000. It put a hole in the rim and forced a tire change. We thought it was a punctured tire at first and was happy it wasn't. Used stock wheel( I have 10, well actually 9 now)$100 or less, Toyo tire,$300+!
One reason I bought the Frontier was because of the rear disc brakes. Advantages outweigh drum brakes by far.

I just think it's hilarious how on their Top Dog (I do think they are pretty well built) Tundra has 4 wheel discs. I didn't find out about the Taco's brakes until after I had bought my Frontier. To say I would have been pissed had I chosen the Taco (what I was going to buy originally) is an understatement.

Yes, dragging your brakes till they dry out sucks and is dangerous.
