It's now time to register and have emissions check for my 05 frontier and sending unit fails causing the SES light on. I filled up, 24hrs later gage updated showed full, i disconnected the battery over night to reset the light, drove the prescribed 100 miles, went to emissions (similar to California test limits since we're neighbors) and low and behold it passed. took the pressure off to have to replace the sending unit asap. Allowing me to hold out for a Nissan recall and dealer replacement. LOL, won't hold my breath.

did mine 2 days ago. my back still hurts, but no light...

before you change the sending unit, go to radio shack and buy PCB (printed circuit board) cleaner.

Climb under the truck and unplug the electrical harness on top of the gas tank. Clean the plug and the corresponding hook up. Blow compressed air in the prongs.. make sure to push firm when reinstalling it.

Who knows...you might get really really really lucky
