BG's 44k is better than seafoam. a lot stonger. If you want best results have a full fuel induction system cleaning done, completely cleans the motor of carbon deposits. made a huge difference in the power and mileage of my truck, and i only have 84K.

BG44 is better. and its $20/can locally vs $7 for seafoam.
I used BG44 on a previous vehicle with good results.
I can run 3 times as much sea foam as I can BG44 and I still consider seafoam pricy...

I seafoam regularly. about 1/2 can every other tank, do the oil treatment about a week before changing oil, and get the vacuum line at the oil change.
I would not recommend that you run the seafoam in the oil for an entire week. Doesn't it say something like 20 miles or or 5 mins or something on the bottle? I'd be afraid that the oil would gunk up or something and cause oiling issues.

It can also eat the seals this way so if you are about to have an oil leak it will make sure to speed up the process for you.

Yes you can also hook this up to a line under the hood so it goes directly in. A ton of black smoke comes shooting out at 100,000

Sea Foam | How to Use Sea Foam Motor Treatment
see the "cleaning lifters and rings" option or the "crankcase sludge"
Okay, I stand corrected. SeaFoam states that it should be added 30 miles before the oil is changed but it also states that you should check the oil to ensure it is not dirty so I would assume if your oil is still clean when you add it, then it should be checked at 30 miles to ensure the oil is not dirty and if it is, change it ASAP.

It also states that you can add it at any point as long as you keep checking the oil to ensure it is not too dirty.

walmart performs this for around 25$. it is pretty easy to do really... just use your brake boosters vacuum line and over a 10min period let it slowly drip into the vacuum line. I was thinking of getting one of these setups to perform my own fuel injection cleanings. I would recommend using a mix of octane booster and a fuel treatment to get a good flush. After this procedure is done, you may have a cel due to all of the gunk coming out of the exhaust and passing over your o2 sensors. its ok, it will go off. drive it hard for about 1 mile and the light should go off. There will be a ton of black or white smoke. no worries.

Ultrasonic Fuel Injector Cleaning and Flow Testing
FORGET THE CLEANERS, PULL THEM, HAVE THESE GUYS REBUILD THEM WITH NEW SEALS, SCREENS AND SONIC CLEANED AND FLOW TESTED....I HAVE TAKEN INJECTORS OVER HERE EVEN AFTER I CLEANED THEM WITH INJECTOR CLEANER RUN THROUGH THE RAILS WITH FUEL PUMP SHUT OFF AND RUN ON STRAIGHT CLEANER. THE BEFORE AND AFTER FLOW RATES WHERE SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER AFTER THEY REBUIILT AND CLEANED THEM.. AND FOR $18 AN INJECTOR ITS CHEAP

Sweet, but that would scare the crap out of me!

Has anyone ever cleaned or changed their injectors, I have just over 100,000 miles and wanted to get the best gas mileage as I can ? Thanks
I have 99 Nissan Frontier 4 cylinder, just replaced fuel injector on #2 yesterday ($70 at advance auto rebuilt). It's pretty easy, disconnect the plug, remove 2 phillip screws, remove cover, pull out the old injector and replace with new one. Make sure there's an o-ring.

You probably did this, but just to be clear for anyone reading later... always pull the fuel pump fuse while the truck is running so that you can bleed off the fuel pressure before starting. If not when you pull the injector you run the risk of all of the fuel in the rail draining into that cylinder and hydrolocking the engine!

First time DIY, I disconnected the hose (fuel) going across the injector #2 for easy access. Learned it was fuel after I disconnected. It was a learning experience. Thanks for the feedback.

I second the opinion that you should remove them and have them professionally cleaned and flow tested. I did this in my truck recently, cost was about $20 per injector. I used AUS injection (AUS Injection : Racing Fuel Injectors Service Cleaning New Replacement) since they are local to me, but you should be able to find some place locally to clean and flow test them for you. I did this as part of a "tune up" right after I bought my truck. I had my injectors cleaned, replaced fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap and rotor all at the same time. Runs much better after all those little things!

Edit: I also replaced both O2 sensors in this same service.
