Frontier Exhaust Systems

From reading all the new Frontier forums, I've learned that there are only 2 companies thus far that have an exhasut system already out in the market, and 1 more with one in production.

We have all heard about the Banks exhaust being a good system, but many saying they lose a lot of low-end power. But, I haven't heard any complaints about the Gibson exhaust system, whose website specifically states: "Our best performing exhaust system produces maximum torque and horsepower gains at low-end (1800 to 3000 RPMS ) with a deep aggressive tone."

Is there anyone on here that has this exhaust and has similar problems to the Banks? I know there is a user reverendbiker who loves this exhaust, but I know of no one else who owns this.

There's a guy on the TUNFS forums, ubond007, that did the magnaflow dual - looks sweet... am wondering 2 thjings about it:

Does it block access to spare, and how loud is it?

His is at http://www.picturetrail.com/ubond007

Anybody know anything about this one?

im considering the gibson exhausr but waiting to the the write up on the JBA.

Does the Gibson come with the Y pipe or is it just the muffle with the tail pipe?
It comes with the y pipe, resonator, muffler, and the tail pipe with tip.

To answer binfords question I had contacted him about his setup and he said since he put the resonator on its quiet in the cab and it does not block access to the spare.
The one thing I'm concerned about with the JBA system is the lack of a resonator! Even the stock exhaust has a resonator, although it's after the muffler, not before it. The system they make for the Titan appears to have two resonators, one in each pipe from the CAT to the Y. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Well hopefully sinces its a 2.5 system it wont really need the resonator if they get a good muffler. Im leaning towards the gibson because of the resonator.

I found out the JBA system is actually 2" pipe from the CAt to the Y and then 2.5" after that, but then the stock system is 2" pipe from the CAT to the Y and 2.25" from there back, and it still has a resonator! One comment the guy at JBA made to me was they wre wanting to get rid of the buzz that is inhehent in V6 engines, so maybe if the muffler alone won't do it they will add a resonator. I guess time will tell...
The Y pipe for the Gibson looks like it would have good flow where it joins into one.I'm leaning towards the Gibson.I had this system in a cat back on my 2000 Frontier KC.It had a nice sound & it wasn't to loud & it comes with a nice looking tip.
Thats also persuading me towards to gibson and I have the gibson on my fathers titan and he loves it!
I WAS REAY TO ORDER THE GIBSON FOR MY 2002 CREW CAB S/C LONG BED MODEL#612206 FROM THERE WEB SITE AND I CALLED THEM TO MAKE SURE OF THE PART NUMBER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DO NOT MAKE IT FOR THE S/C MODEL BUT ON THER WEB SITE THEY HAVE IT LISTED. DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF ANY CONPANY MAKES IT FOR THE SUPERCHARGED MODEL?
the gibson

i have the Gibson exhaust on my truck since it came out and have loved it. i dont think it makes as much noise as the others but i have no complaints, and no loss of any power.
Hey Philly I went to Gibson's site and you have the right number.
i called them to order it and the tech told me they do not make it for the supercharged model????? i called magnaflow and talked to as tech and they told me they make it does anybody have a magnaflow on the s/c???

OK, cool, but what model magnaflow is it? Theone listed for the 4.0L 05-6 frontier says side exhaust on Magnaflow's site:

05-06 4.0L V-6, EC/CC-SB, rear side exit,
3" SS tubing, 3.5" p-SS tips 16627 $641.67
HIs is a dual rear, so I am confused.
Yea he had his had a custom exhaust done with a magnaflow muffler that he bought and the muffler shop bent his pipes to what he wanted.
