Why does Honda even try??? The guys at the dealerships are telling me the Titan isn't selling so hot right yet because they still aren't offering any dealership incentives. Hopefully with more options and some incentives to match competitors down the road, that line will be rejuvenated.

The new Tacoma looks stupid compared to the previous one. I can see them take a hit in sales just due to the aesthetics of the new body style with it's gargantuan nose. That and the fact that it's now so large it is no longer a mid size but is considered a full size truck.

I knew the Frontiers seemed to be an also-ran group as far as sales go, but since I got my new one 2 months back, I just seem to notice them EVERYWHERE around here where I live. A lot of the contractors and folks I work around daily said they'd love to get rid of what they have now and get a fronty like mine.

Not everyone wants something the size of a semi truck. Everyone calls it long in the tooth, but for my part, I took that as a positive. After 10 years on the market, people pretty much KNOW what parts will go bad and how to fix them by this point. If I hear a weird noise or a symptom in the car, someone has been through that before and I can come on these forums and find out pretty easily whats up. Knowledge and reliability go a long way for me vs having the newest design and flashiest bling on the road for this current model year.

Yep.

It has inherited the Ford Ranger's market position as "value leader".

Glad to see Nissan extend the $750 or 0% option till just after the 4th of July. While I have not pulled the plug yet, the more I look the more I am convinced the Frontier is the best bang for the buck mid size pickup.

Nissan really shot for the wrong target. The people who spend $50K and more for a truck won't be caught dead driving an "import". Doesn't matter if their truck was built in Mexico or Canada. Doesn't matter if the profits go to Italy now. It's just not 'Merican. The new Titans are piling up and gathering dust here in Tidewater and the old Titan sold relatively well here. If Nissan had put that much effort into a new Frontier and kept the price low, they would've cleaned up. Instead they're selling more Frontiers because GM and Toyota are making the same mistakes that nearly killed smaller trucks in the first place.

Took my mother to a Nissan dealer a few months ago to look at cars. I asked the salesman about the new Titan. He told me that they didn't have any, but had ordered one for a customer. Can't remember how much he told me it sold for, but I do remember my jaw hitting the floor after he told me.

What I have been seeing around here is more and more business fleet vehicles being Frontiers.
Frontier sells well because they are $5k less than Tacoma and Colorado.
I agree with both of these statements. I see Napa and quite a few other businesses use Frontier king cabs as their fleet cars. Secondly, I picked up my brand new 2013 Frontier for 21.5K, crew cab, 4x4. I think it was almost 7k less than a new Tacoma with comperable features.

The Frontier is the best buy for the money right now. If I had unlimited funds to buy a new truck tomorrow, I would choose a Frontier again.

They only other truck I would consider would be a Tacoma. I've heard nothing bad about them, but they are always thousands more than a comparable Nissan. That and if you want a 2016 model, be prepared to wait several months before you can get one as they are so far behind. A guy I work with, ordered one in March and is still waiting.

I've always owned Chevrolet trucks, but I wouldn't even consider a new Colorado. Too many problems with the one I just traded and I'm far from the only one who's had nothing but problems. That and the new one's are INSANELY overpriced.
