is there anything I need to be aware of before/while removing the front seats of my 06 CC? what is involved with this process? thanks

Couple of bolts, it's pretty straight forward.
There is an airbag sensor wire with a plug to un-do before you lift the seat out.
I know this to be a fact on the driver's side, I had mine out before, I assume there is one on the passenger seat as well.

Make sure you plug the airbag wire back in BEFORE you put power back to the truck or your airbag light will come on and stay on.

Only thread I found I maybe could find some help, I think I might have busted loose the welded nut for the front passenger seat as the bolt that goes in the front left (next to the center console) is loose but can't get it out it seems as if it is still somewhat threaded to the nut. It was my wife who was unfastening the bolt so I am super confident she didn't use extreme force.

NOW the problem is that the two front nuts for the front seat are hidden in between the bottom of the chassis and another layer of metal so they are not exposed like the back two nuts are from underneath the car! Anyone has had this happened if so how did you reach that F&$% nut?

PLEASE EXCUSE THE FILTH IN THIS TRUCK I WILL DEEP CLEAN.

You might have to put a flat screwdriver under the door of the chair and lift while turning the bolt. Hopefully it applies enough tension to the nut that it doesn't spin

Then you will stuck figuring out how to fix it but at least the chair will be out of the way.

Either that, or tighten everything back down and vacuum around it instead

Thanks! The problem is that it won't tighten back down which is what leads me to believe that the tack welds that hold the nut to the chassis broke and the nut is free spinning.

ohhhh!! ok. its possible.

some nuts on jeeps are that way. we have to drill a hole directly under and retack the nut and put a plastic or rubber plug in the hole so water doesn't go in. like from the plumbing section of the local hardware store, or a boat drain plug.

Did not think of that, I was gonna straight up cut a square, re weld the nut the the bottom and then patch weld with a sheet of metal the square that I cut.
You’ve been very helpful sir appreciate your help!
