The pics are terrible and the truck is filthy, but I love the wheels! They talked me into new tires too, I'm glad they did. I'm also really happy I went with the bronze.

I went from a 265-70, to a 265-75. I'm running 35 lbs in each tire, and that's what DT put in there at install

d7k8, did you get much rubbing? Do you have any lift on your truck? I have basically the same truck and I am waiting for my level 8 MK6's to arrive. Trying to determine if I should stay stock tire size or go up to 265/75. Thanks

I hope you don't mind us chiming in here.

With the 16x8 ET0 MK6, you can fit the larger size tire (265/75) but just keep in mind you'll likely have to do some trimming around the mud flaps/splash guard area.

Don't mind at all. I'm wondering if I stay stock tire size with the 16x8 ET0 MK6, will I have to do any trimming at all?

Finally got all my components delivered and installed. A real pain. I think the truck looks way better than it used to. I went with stock size 265/70 r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires, Bilstein 5100 shocks and struts set at 1/2" lift, and OEM adjustable camber bolts. I also added tow mirrors and generic molle panels I cut for the doors a while back. Oh and I did the melt mod.

After speaking to my buddy the mechanic he suggested getting some wheel hub spacers since the hub of the wheel is so much bigger than that of the truck. I ordered a set from JustForWheels.com. They should be here soon. I have to say after all the research I did, I don't think I noticed anyone mention this. For $35 I don't think you can go wrong.

After the wheels got mounted and balanced the truck was taken for a test drive and we found out the wheels were spinning on the rim. Mechanic said he had never seen it in his 20 years of working on cars and had only heard about it. This of course threw the balance off. I did 303 (armor all) the entirety of the tires before being mounted. Could this have caused the spinning? So the steering wheel shakes now depending on the road surface. The plan is to re-balance in a few thousand miles. Hopefully the spinning will be done by then.

Also one of the lug nuts that got sent to me with the wheels was incorrect size. They are sending me a new one...or a new box of nuts.
Every time I walk outside now I find myself staring at the truck. Like I said, look way better. Hope you like.

Yea, sorry the tires are spinning on the wheel.
I knew what you meant to say.
I was just being a jackazz.
My apologies.
I had wanted the MK6 Gunmetal 16x8 for my 1st Gen because they are similar to the oem 4wd wheels that I have to use with spacers to prevent caliper rub.
But they were out of stock for so long and I couldn't wait any longer to replace my bald tires.
I hate having spacers.
