This is the order of the installs I have done;
1.) Gibson CatBack SS
2.) Superchips
3.) Volant CAI
Just for the record, if I could do it all over, I would do;
1.) Superchips
2.) Volant CAI
3.) Exhaust (maybe look more at magnaflow, flowmaster, or a x pipe dual setup)

So, my question is this…Did/does anybody monitor their LTFT1 and LTFT2 on their superchips? I used to get low, mostly below 10 on each bank before the CAI. Now I am seeing (after ECU reset and 3,000 miles) numbers in the upper 20’s (~28 and ~25 respectively). I realize that there is more airflow so the trims are adding duration to the fuel injection, but this seems like a big move in numbers. Oh, I am running the 87 performance tune.

Those numbers seem to be a bit high. Having to add up to 28% more fuel seems to be a bit much but how are you driving when you see these numbers? If you are gunning it, then I could see to a point but if you are just cruising, then they seem to be off too much. I am sure you know this but for the others, you want the Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) to be close to zero so that the ECU is not compensating too much off of the tune. It may just be that the ECU is still learning but idk since you put 3k miles on it.

I just got back from a 1,000 mile round trip. 99% was 70mph cruise control.

If it is adjusting 28% while cruising, then your tune seems to be off but that is what you get with SuperChips. They push the limit only so far. I wonder what would happen if you kept 87 in the tank and bumped up to the 89 tune or bumped the timing or something?

I wonder if the powercore is causing the issue? I read in another thread or 2 that people were getting too much flow out of them and the stock ECU wasn't able to compensate.

^Same amount of air, it's a cooler denser dose of air; need more fuel to = the mixure.

I will try and remember to throw mine in the truck tomorrow and check this. I have been on the 93 tune for maybe a year or so? I haven't even hooked up the Cortex in 6 months or more??? I only have Volant and Superchips.

intake pipe is probably a different diameter than stock. to get more power, superchips re calibrates the MAF signal to dump more fuel, since the intake probably has a smaller diameter around the MAF sensor to trick the stock ECU map to run richer, the combo of both equals high LTFT. Best bet, get it Uprev tuned and be done.

I don't think that the Superchips tune adds fuel, something to do with emissions. I could be wrong, but I think I remember Scott stating that in one of his posts.
