Does anyone know the best way to install fog lights without buying the expensive kit from Nissan? I have found some other kits on ebay but they do not come with the bezel for the fog light to go in. Can someone please explain to me how this works? Do you need a bezel or housing? Thanks

Here you go, you can see from the pictures somewhat that they stick out through the bumper plug that I cut the hole in. I don't mind the look, but the factory ones definitely hide back behind the bumper way more. The wiring was a quick job where I tapped into the low beam line on the passenger side and ran that to the relay that came with the lights. With this setup they come on with the low beams only. That is the law around here so I stick with it...

He had already said what he cut it with...

what did you cut the hole out with? plus they look good and like i am on a budget....
Being cheap, I did the same thing. I bought some basic lights on ebay,(OBX Turismo Fog Light 2250 Universal Ion Lamp: eBay Motors (item 180507707535 end time May-21-10 12:58:42 PDT)) then used a hole saw in my drill press to cut the center out of the plugs that are in the bumper. I then mounted the lights using just the top tab on the inside of the bumper and wired them up with a relay to come on with the low beams. Total cost right around $20.

I will get some pics up tomorrow if you want.

Just putting this out there. If you only mount to the top tab, it adds extra stress and has snapped off on other Fronters.

The light bezels are also cheap (3-5 a piece) from the dealer so if you don't have a drill press or a hole saw the correct size or etc.... its a good option.

Side Note: I wonder if the fog light bypass mod will work if you wire aftermarket lights into the oem wiring? This would cut down on the wiring requirements and the possible useage of relays. It does require a "jumper" fuse thou.

but wouldn't you need the oem stalk if you did that?
