First time Frontier owner

I purchased a 99 Frontier 2.4 and thought I better find a forum for assistance. I'm from south central PA and trying to get this 4 cylinder back together. The timing chain broke and bent all the intake valves. Is there a direct link to engine assembly and timing? The valves have been replaced but the head, timing chains/cover and distributor need installed.
