I went turkey hunting this morning and ran into some really muddy roads. I was very happy with the way the truck handled the mud. I ended up using both 4 hi and 4 lo, through some standing water on the muddy road. The truck handled it just as good or better than my old Ram. Just wish I had a locker.

You have an M226 rear so you have a few options.

Last time I drove muddy road (mud wasn't deep, just slippery) best control I had was 4lo, 2nd and third gear (auto)at about 15 mph tops, everything off (vdc, locker) - biggest danger was sliding off the road/track and I figured locker would just make *** end slide more - locker may have been handy if I had slid off road and got stuck though.

Yea it was more slippery than anything. I was also using 4lo 2nd gear. I did slide into the ditch once, but just kept my momentum going and was able to get out with little problem.
