I'm trying to wire a Firestorm LED light bar via the trailer hitch plug.

Could someone tell me what each wire is for:

black
green
red
yellow
purple

Thanks

Hope this helps

The wiring goes this way:
pin #1 is the White wire = ground or common.
pin #2 is the Blue wire = brake control
pin #3 is the green wire = tail lights, marker lights & license plate light
pin #4 is the Black wire = battery charge to trailer
pin #5 is the red wire = stop/left turn signal
pin #6 is the brown wire = stop/right turn signal
pin #7 is the yellow wire = extra aux circuit power
Plug connectors normally have the pin number and the wire color molded in to them next to each connectrion point but can be fun to read.

BLACK – Connect to any Ground Wire or the – Terminal on your Battery.
RED – Connect to a Constant 12V+ Signal (the + Terminal on your Battery)
GREEN – Splice in with the Positive Lead going to your Brake Light* **
YELLOW – Splice in with the Positive Lead going to your Left Turn Signal*
BLUE – Splice in with the Positive Lead going to your Right Turn Signal*
WHITE – Splice in with the Positive Lead going to your Reverse Lights

* The following applies to a minority of trucks: If your vehicle does not have a separate wire for brakes, (i.e. brakes and turn signals are on the same wire) you will need to wire the Tailgate Bar to the turn signals on the front of the vehicle and the third (high mount) brake light in order for the scanning function to work properly.
** If you wish to use your running lights with your Tailgate Bar, see included instructions to support running lights + brake lights on the green wire.

1st gen or 2nd gen?

2nd gens use relays to make their trailer wiring work so if they are not installed, it may not work. Also, those LED bars tend to block the spare tire access hole when installed so keep that in mind when you are looking at them.

I will try to take some pics tonight but I just cut out a hole so you can still get at the spare
