Hello,
I posted a while back about my 08 Frontier cloth seats exhibiting pre-mature wear (fraying) on the driver's side back about 2-3 inches up from the seat base. I finally got around to taking my truck in today to the dealer to have them look at it (I'm on my second seat - first one did the same thing). The Service Mgr. that helped me said his Frontier does the same thing, and that he had a fix for it. He proceeded to take a cigarette lighter out of his pocket and run the flame back and forth over the frayed area, saying that this would burn off the fraying! While his "fix" did seem to melt/burn away the fraying, I couldn't believe this guy was actually taking a lighter to my seat. He said that when any fraying reappears, simply run a lighter flame over the affected area to eliminate the frayed appearance. I left the truck there as I'm having a couple of other things done (Lord help me) and am anxious to see the "fix" in good light. I'll bet this guy would have a solution to the Gulf Oil spill.........
