Finishing Up Remote Start -Questions.

Hey guys, I have battled over this for the last 48 hours and can't seem to get it right. I bought an Audiovox (prestige) APS-787N which is an Alarm/Remote start. I have been able to get the whole alarm part installed but I am struggling on getting the last few parts of the remote start done. Here are a few of my questions.

1) Where do I find the darn tach wire. I have looked all over for the fuel injectors but not being a mech type I can't find where they are. All of the sites say wire to any fuel injector...

2) The remote start only has one starter cable, but our trucks have two starter cables. Do I just wire the starter cable from the the remote start to the two starter cables?

3) I but an Xk07 Can Bus Data Immobilizer Override it has d2d and w2w. It has one input wire to sense when it needs to be activated. Do I just need to find a cable that sends a signal from the remote start to the xk07?

Thanks guys, I am so close to being done that I can feel it. It is almost midnight when I posted this, so I hope my ideas and questions came through somewhat understandable.

I am sure that I will find other questions as I go along to the end of this.

Take a break...

...before something really expensive gets damaged.
Okay before I say anything I recommend Professional installation.

Second starter wire

There should be a set of thinner wires coming off the remote same colors as the thicker starter, accessory and ignition wires. Take the thinner starter wire I forgot the color now, but I think its orange but not a 100% sure and wire it up to a relay use the output wire from the relay and connect that to the other starter wire.

Fuel Injection wire

in the engine bay on the engine itself. Generally somewhere around where the spark plugs are, Should be two wires for each cylinder. Use the wire thats different for each cylinder. You technically use any cylinder, but i usually used the first one.

Immobilizer
i have no idea what you mean by d2d and w2w. But if its the unit that detects the resistance for the key in order to start the remote. Then there is a thin blue wire by its self that comes off the remote start, that gets connected to the immobilizer. Then read the rest of the directions on how to connect.

Disclaimer - these are all based on a DEI install and their units. Still recommend you read your instructions or take it to a professional. This was just to help guide you

Thanks! I will try what you suggested. I have read the instructions over and over but I just got stuck on these last three things.
I think I'm just gonna take it somehwere. My check engine soon light came on and IDK WTF I did to make that happen. So much for DIY projects lol.
Dang... Sorry to read that. Try something a little less "complicated." I think remote start and tint are the only things that I had professionally installed. All the rest on my own. Hope its an easy fix and they don’t rape you on the diagnostic fees.
did you try to reset it?
The only thing I did to reset was take the batter off. IDK if that works on our cars or not but it did on my old protege. I'm taking it a Checkers (kragen) to get it scanned sometime soon.

I am not giving up on car mods that for sure! My next mod is a full feature carputer. Not much I can screw up there. I will have a full how to in the works too. How does GPS, Streaming music, OBD hookup sound? haha I am an engineering student so I plan on coding some stuff for our cars into some microprocessors once I learn about them a bit more. Trying to think of something cool to do with it, but right now all I can think of is having the back window open witha few servos or something...Point is, I am not scared of mods just cuz I may have killed my car.

Question, Do our trucks have one of those oil sensors that make the MIL go off when its been too long? Cuz its been too long, maybe thats whats wrong. Also, how does one reset the computer?
so how much was labor to get them installed???
