Well for my 19th birthday I decited to buy myself a new truck since i had got a great job with the electrical Union. I knew from day one that it had to be a nissan... So anyways i did some re-search and came to a decition. It was going to be an 05 Storm Gray CC LE with a sunroof and gray leathe 2x4. And i got it. This was on August 23rd. Now i come to think that i should have got a blue or storm gray NISMO with Black interior and 4X4. I didnt want a 4x4 because of the insurance increase and the tag price. Please tell me why i did good with the LE.

My LE has 4 doors, roof rack, step rails, Rockford sound system (which was free cause they didnt have one without it.) sunroof, leather, heated seats, heated mirrors. auto dim rear mirror abd a few other things.

Well dirt ya gotta look at it this way. You bought a truck with a great track record for reliabilty and longevity. What you bought should last ya a long time. Since ya live in LA, how often are ya gonna see snow? Also, do you plan to have it in the mud, rocks, or off-road all that much. If you are leaning towards that... buy a 4X4 beater and use that to play in the dirt. I was foruntae to find a 4X4, which will come in handy in the snow and dirt. I spent 11 years driving a Ford 4X2 which served me well... but it was time. Ya did good. Enjoy it and don't fret.

Another plus with the 4X2 is gas mileage! As previously stated if you don't do a lot of off-roading, and will rarely, if ever, encounter snow, the 4X4 is just added maintenance and fuel costs!

I've done the same thing on occasion, I bought a loaded 4X4 NISMO, and wonder now if I'd have been better off with a 4X4 LE just because I don't do a lot of off-roading, but do see snow. The LE 4X4's seem to get better gas mileage than the NISMO, and the ride is definately smoother!

Just remember, if you go to trade at this stage of the game it will end up costing you a bunch more than the original purchase, and probably won't justify the switch anyway! That's how I pacify myself anyway!

Enjoy your truck for a few more years and then trade once you've worked off all that negative equitity!

i know how you feel, i got my 02' cc 2x4. and really wanted the 4x4. but couldnt aford the insureance. all my friends have 4x4s and we go off road every weekend. so far my truck has kept up with all of them. the only thing im missing is a locker. evertime we go on trails and i think that i need a 4x4 to get up it, my truck proves me wrong time and time again. go to the off-road section and look at "my back yard, i wish!" and you can see how much fun you can have in a 2x4...

thanks for all your great words guys. Its true i will hardly go off-road... All i plan to do is go camping, hunting or just hit the slops once in a great while. But mostly i bought it for work. My other car is a 98 jetta which is only used for shows and the track. I also did see many pros and cons to a 4x4. pros : great traction , good for off-road, a nice little feature. Cons: less gas milage, more maintanace, More on insurance cost.

Over all now i feel like i made a Great choice. THANKS GUYS.

Oh and i will post up pics of all the goodies i bought my truck once they all arrive.

You got it with the sunroof, which I've found on my CC to be one of the best features along w/ the Rockford stereo system. I love my NISMO so far, and you're gonna have lots of fun with your new truck. Enjoy!
