Hi - I entered a similar post a couple years back, but though I'd try again, now that I've got my intake plenum off. My idle hops up to 2000 rpm whenever my truck is in gear or when it's rolling in neutral. The only time I have a normal idle is when the truck is stopped and in neutral. I've removed to upper air intake plenum to get at the valve covers and I'm wondering if I should be replacing the idle air control valve and/or sensor. Has anyone run into this problem?

Cheers,

geoff

Welcome what is your pu this helps yr or even 1st or 2ndgen and which engine? it sounds like a leak also heard there is something to do with a throttle relearn in 2nd gens that you can mess up idling whenever unhooked more than an hr or cleaning throttle body so if that's yours might want to look into that the IAC idk on the Nissan but my toyota if clogged would kill it not idle it up had to clean the pintle and passage every 40 or 50k on it
