i'm putting an alpine ida-x305s in my 2007 frontier soon. what face place is best to use for finishing it out? i heard a couple years ago that the one sold with orders from crutchfield didn't fit very well. i also tried a scosche plate and while it worked, it wasn't great (this was on a previous head unit before it got stolen).

any recommendations on face plate that will fit well?

If you're referring to a dash kit, I've had good experiences with the Metra one. The Scosche one doesn't allow for the aftermarket trim ring.

Doesn't Crutchfield sell the Metra brand? I believe so. When I was looking for one they all got bad reviews so just go with the Metra, it's about the best you are going to get. The Walmart special sucks.

from the photos on metra's website, it looks like this is the kit included by crutchfield. i have tried to use that one before and it's crap, so i'll either get a scosche kit if i get a single din head, or just get a double din head.
