Well I figure if I'm gonna be poking around this forum scooping up info I may as well make an account and say hello.

Recently picked up a `17 SV, Gunmetal, crew cab, long bed, 2wd. Wanted a 4x4 but apparently a crew cab long bed 4x4 is some kind of mystical unicorn, and honestly it being 2wd will at least keep me from wheeling it to death. I got it specifically to be the daily, and do daily stuff like drag my trailer and haul home improvement supplies around, as well as fetch parts for the next 4x4 death machine I wind up building. Don't ask me what the 4x4 is right now, I haven't found the right (cheap enough) rig and dragged it home to cut up just yet. I have a rock crawling habit, so I needed to split the crawling tendency of breaking it all the time from my daily driver which needs to not be broken all the time. I spent the last four years twisting expensive parts off a late model Jeep and decided that was enough.

That said, I've done some of the usual stuff to the new Frontier already. Mud guards, nerf bars, a tool box bolted down to the UtiliTrack via some track spring nuts, AVS bug deflector, & some shiny Ultra Motorsports wheels, and switched it over to Mobil 1 synthetic. Plastered some stickers on the back glass, and ordered a front bumper grille insert to keep rocks out of the radiator. Also took the bed extender out and hung it up in my shed to keep it from wandering off. I'm probably going to end up doing a level kit and rear leaf upgrade/assist/airbags/something to avoid dragging the rear on the bump stops when loaded/trailering. Maybe pick up a camper shell or folding tonno for road trips too.

There should be some photos attached to this post, provided I didn't screw it up. So hi, and thanks in advance for the huge library of info about how to do the suspension properly. I get the feeling that's gonna come in handy.

Thanks for the welcome, y'all seem like a good bunch of folks.

interested in seeing some of the pics of the grill insert
I'll take a bunch of pics and either start a truck thread or just a breakdown of the part itself in the appropriate forum when it arrives. Next week some time, or I'm told by UPS at least.
