99 Nissan Frontier XE with 175,000 miles, 4 cylinder. It will start and runs fine below 40 mph with slight gas pressure it will vibrate like running through rumble strip. I had CEL and code P0302, cylinder #2 misfire. I already replaced plugs, wire, cap, rotor, fuel injector #2, flush coolant, and replaced transmission fluid and still vibrate. If I turn off the overdrive (OD), it will vibrate. Any had any experience like this or suggestion? It's very dependable truck so far.

being a speed based issue i'd guess it has nothing to do with the motor. your cel may be a coincidence

the only problem i had with my '94 hardbody that sounds similar to what you describe was the universal joints

have you thought of looking into the distributor and or timing chain? maybe some wear on chain or teeth of distributor maybe same on cam/crankshaft.

does it vibrate after 45? at 50 and maybe 60?

i sent you an message check the link....
The distributor was replaced and still vibrate at 40-45 mph while applying slight pressure on gas pedal. Above that speed, the engine is fine. My friend mechanic found a faulty EGR vacuum solenoid switch. He bypassed it and now no more vibration.
