If you're talking about the 05/06 model, a lot of folks who still have a lot of warranty left on their trucks! What year is the 4Runner your buddy is swapping engines on? I would suspect you'd find more information on this topic in about three years when these trucks are no longer under warranty and people are more willing to experiment! Of course you could bravely pave new ground and drop a 304 HP 5.6L Titan engine in your Frontier! I'm betting it would give your buddy's 4Runner a run for your money!
engine swaps
okay heres the deal, im really sick of the little v6 in the fronty, and ive been toying with the idea of a V8. and then theres my friend putting a lexus V8 in his 4runner lol. so i guess i gotta keep up right? lol. so has anyone done a V8 swap into a fronty yet? or seen any done, or have any info at all on one? ive been looking all over, havnt found a single swap. not even a beefed up v6 swap. whats out there?

Or get a hood from the Euopean Navarra, their turbo diesel has the intercooler mounted on top of the engine!
