Hi & thanks for any help you can give.
I installed the K&N CAI on my 07 Frontier. I have installed them on the last 4 trucks I've owned with no problems. After the install there were no issues. Maybe two weeks in when driving in traffic & barely accelerating, the rpm's drop under 1500. When I hit the gas to speed up the engine hesitates & vibrates mildly. Is the intake pulling in to much O2. I have checked all connections & O2 sensor. Everything looks good there.
When I turn off the overdrive the rpm increases & the problem goes away.
Is there an adjustment I need to make? Thanks again!

check to make sure everything is hooked up properly and there are no leaks. anything leaking after the massair meter it will cause the truck to go into limp mode resulting in no power so you can saftly get to where you need to go to get your truck looked at. make sure the cone filter is secured and tight on the tube.

clean your mass air flow sensor. k&n especially have a tendency to have way too much oil on their filters and it gets into the air flow and onto the sensor and give bad reading which in turn makes the motor run bad. it happened alot in the Z community with k&n products and people over oiling their filters after cleaning. its always good practice after you oil a filter or buy one thats pre oiled to pat it down with a paper towel once the oil has had enough time to soak in good to get the excess off the filter. something to check out before you go to a shop

well first here is an article in popular mechanics about how maf work and cleaning and how they feel about all that Auto Clinic: Maintain Your MAF Sensor, A Power Surge Precaution and More - Popular Mechanics
here is the cleaner that CRC makes Product Information -- 05110 -- Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner, 11 Wt Oz

when cleaning it just remove it from the car and spray it off with the cleaner. i use CRC's mass air flow sensor cleaner or electrical contact cleaner but some people use carb cleaner or brake cleaner but those are pretty harsh and can harm the other components (plastics) of the sensor. when you spray it off don't get right up on it with the spray can cause a maf is a bit delicate and the high pressure of the aerosol can could hurt it if your holding it too close. then you just let it dry and your good to go
