This summer the drive I will be taking will be going through some hot areas and I remembered a thread about removing the plactic slats behind the grille to allow for more airflow into the engine compartment. I haven't been able to find it anyone know what I am talking about?

Those plastic slats are the same ones that are removed when intalling a Volant intake.

Just open your hood, look at the radiator and you will see a plastic piece left and right of it that are used to funnel the air thru the radiator, that is the plastic pieces you are going to remove.

When you are done, you will be able to look thru the front grill next to the headlights and be able to see into the engine bay and not just into those plastic pieces.
