Is it necessary to give up the engine cover when running that Injen CAI?

Any comments on the Injen and XTP IMS since installation as far as performance/throttle response?

how do you like the injen intake? have you decided on new wheels?

how do you like the Injen intake so far? also have you decided on bigger wheels. what size wheel are you going with?
Love the Injen intake. When I accelerate hard it makes the truck sound pissed off, but also quiet when I don't need to. Also the cover around the filter is nice as I rarely need to clean the filter.

I do want new tires, for sure 33's but I currently have a front bumper being built and waiting to see how clearances will work for the new tires. Also since I have 18's, that might effect my decisions for tires, making me look at buying some wheels. Been looking at some Fuel wheels.

It is not necessary to give up the engine cover when running the Injen CAI. I removed it due to the XTP IMS. I havn't tried to put it back on, but technically it would hold heat in more so it is somewhat a performance boost, probably not really any performance.

After installing those parts I definitely noticed a better throttle response. Instant gulp of air for the engine as you floor it. As for more power I would like to say yes, but it could be my imagination after paying, installing and playing.

When I went to get the UpRev tune, the dyno showed that the parts made air/fuel ratio not desirable. Which they say they don't even tune their race cars that low. After the tune you feel the power of everything and you get those MPG numbers that everyone is searching for.

NEW Tires Installed, 275/70r18 BFG KO2

Got my new set of tires on the truck today. Went with 275/70r18 BFG KO2. Love them. I had to remove the front splash guards. They barely fit. Will need to push the liners back just a little more then they will clear with no issues.

Solenoid Relocation

I relocated the solenoid for my winch. Placed it to the right of the radiator, lots of space. I was really excited about getting it all wired because a friend recently asked if I would be interesting in hitting up Browns Camp. In order to make it in time, I didn't really make it as clean as I would have liked it to be. Another project down the road. I also bought the wireless kit which will make me rewire everything anyways. Eventually want to make a cover for it. The other picture shows where I placed the port for the remote.

A BEAST - Browns Camp

Some pics at Browns Camp. We hit up Powerline, University Firepower, Cedar Tree and a couple of other trails there. Drove like a champ. I unfortunately knocked the passenger steps off due to a boulder I just barely couldn't clear. Was expected until I can get some real sliders. If you look close enough in the picture you can see the brackets lol. Looks better anyways.

Sweet. Time to get a little mud on the tires.
