So, I was eating lunch in my truck the other day before running into the store and had the radio on. (just by battery) Every once in a while there'd be a "click.... click click.....click" Sounded like it was coming from the dash or down by that fuse box by the left side of the steering column. Is this a bad thing?

The only after market thing I have installed is a CB Radio.

How old is your battery?

Mine did this after I drianed the batery over night when the efan stayed on. If your battery is 5yrs old then change it out.

Maybe you had just enough to get her going again.

The battery is only a year old. I definitely know it isn't coming from the battery. It isn't when I'm trying to start her up. Just when I'm sitting there with the battery on to listen to some tunes. It'll just sporadically click up by the dash and fuse box area.

On the stock radio, if I had it at 15 with some Chevelle on, I can still barely discern it. That's when I turned it down the first time and was like "wtf was that?!"

I had the same issue. The clicking went away when I replaced the ground cable connecting the battery to the body and engine and sanded the contact points clean in the process. If you have high resistance between batt - and body, you might want to try the same (or at least clean the contact points).

One minute after I turn my key back with the radio still on there is a couple of clicks of stuff turning off, no biggie but multiple clicks is weird. The electronics make multiple clicks when the battery is running low so depending on how long the radio was on that could be it.

Sorry for no response lately, I've been out of town. I doubt it's a low battery devious, because it is only close to a year old. I haven't had a chance to check out the fuses to see if one of them is going bad. I just got home, so I'll try and check it soon and get back with you guys.

Roast, it's every time I sit there w/ the battery on.
