easy shock question

been shopping and just looking for best suggestion on where to buy shocks. looked at rancho 9000 and bilstein 6100 series, and pretty settled on rancho's ... just looking for best place to find them. auto zone quoted 160 across the counter, but i found the ranchos for 115 to 130 on line....
any suggestions?

Buy them for the $115 and you're 45 dollars ahead but then there's shipping so why not just buy them from Auto Zone and keep a local store in business.

45 x4 = up to $180 difference. several sponsors here sell on-line.:noworries: just looking for recommended sites, or those to stay away from....

Sorry wasn't aware you were speaking per shock. Wow that is a huge difference. I may be reaching here but can you get auto parts through amazon and have them for security?

Clint
I'd reccomend the bilsteins over ranchos anyday, but I would definitly suggest looking around on the board here, I know someone was selling rear SAWs a little back and those would kick the *** of the bils and ranchs
consider this.
AZ is a national chain with major buying power.
Talk to the manager. tell him you can get these shocks online for $115 plus shipping (be prepared to show him the website), Ask him to mark them down to $120 for the business. His store wont make the same profit, but then you will go back to see his business when you need a good deal on something else.

I agree there.... I have bought the u-joints, brakes, rotors, and other stuff from there and advance auto ( except for the fuel sending relay, that was dealer only) and would rather buy local, even if its a little more, but $30-45
each was an issue for the same item.
i had searched several "whats the best shock threads", and as my off road time is limited (70% is on pavement) the rancho being adjustable seems good.
any body have them, and is it really worth adjusting? or not enough difference for the trouble?
