Just picked up a used 22 frontier from a dealer in Minnesota. The truck originally came from Canada. The dual zone climate controls are displaying celcius. Just wondering if anyone knows how to change it to Fahrenheit? I switched everything else over to us metrics already. It’s just the dual zone temp controls that I cannot find any info on, I did have a tech mention to me that they can switch it but didn’t elaborate as to how.

I have a 23 Pro-4X (Canada) and there is a setting in the menu to change miles to km, gas mileage and temperature. Sorry I don't recall specifically which of the menu items you need to look in, but you definitely can change it.

The settings menu on the speedo cluster. Use the steering wheel < and> buttons and you'll find it. Several customizable settings are buried somewhere in there with the maintenance stuff..
I don't think THAT specific menu changes the climate control unit of measure?? I could be totally wrong. But I do believe the speedo cluster menu only changes the unit of measure on the speedo cluster only? Again, I could be wrong.

Hmmmm...seems not, I just tried it and it only changes the outside temp

I would think the climate control has it's own software that needs the Nissan Consult for any changes?

Yep that’s correct. I’m gonna have to try and convince my dealer that it’s possible. I spoke with them today and they told me it want possible and asked if I wanted to purchased the Fahrenheit cluster for my truck.

yeah im probably just gonna deal with it. the math is simple, I was just curious if it was an easy fix or if it actually required a trip to the dealer and in which case I will have to explain everything again, so probably not worth the hassle.

I've got an extra from a Titan and an Altima, they both have rear defrost buttons. So if the defrost button bugs you less, I'd trade.
I can send it your way, you swap it out and make sure it's not the AC computer that tells it °C vs °F. Then send back which ever doesn't suit your fancy.

No rear defrost button on that one, that's mirror heating. Should be plug and play for the OP.

Thanks, used to the rear defrost button my Wife's Altima has. That's the Titan one pictured.

If it helps OP, I picked up the controls with the expectation to add dual climate to my SV. Just working out the wiring at this point.

Not sure if there exists any secret handshake with the buttons to change, but digging online I found...

Parts were required: https://forums.nicoclub.com/post6830487.html#p6830487
Sure, its a few years old but might indicate the Nissan mindset in play. Note: this wasnt the panel assembly, they tried that.

Had a moment so I played around in the info screen menu... as we know, no change. There is also a "unit" setting under OTHER in the radio display so I had high hopes! Mine was defaulted to Celsius. However, seems this is like having two light switches for the same hallway - both change the instrument display. Also tried a few rando combinations of button presses on the climate panel, no joy.

I was wanting the opposite. After seeing metric units at work for the last ten-ish years, I find it easier to recognize metric units at a glance than imperial. I have a 2nd gen and set the outside temp on the mirror to C, but switched it back to F. I'd be more confused having C for outside and F for inside.

No need to spend any money at the dealer, just do some quick math any time you want to adjust your temp.
Degrees C multiplied by 2 then add 30 roughly equals degrees F.
Ex. 10°C times two is 20, plus 30 is 50°F.
I was going to suggest the scale of "f---ing cold" to "f---ing hot" that a coworker mentioned. For example, 0C is f---ing cold, 20C is room-ish temp, and 40C is f---ing hot. But then I realized that the HVAC temperature range is 60F to 90F (15ish C to 32ish C).

I stand corrected. Double checked this today and you can change the temp, but just on the dash outside temp not the climate control temp. Learn something new everyday

So for the thread above, the part that fixed it for the Rogue has the same part in the Frontier. When I looked up part numbers the Canadian one is the same as US making that idea less likely. So hopefully the other discussed remedies work out.

thanks everyone for digging into this. I haven't had time to speak to my dealer yet. I was told by a Nissan tech that it can be changed by the dealer, they need to open a tech line case and learn how to do it. once that Is done they would be able to switch it. so in the next week or so im going to try and go that route and see what happens. I will report back once I find out.
