My driver side tweeter bit the dust in my 06 kc nismo,.. first the filter cap opened up,.. it was crackley at first, I checked the speaker still read 4ohms so I replaced both of the tweeter filter caps,.. now the driver side is completley dead,..

so what I'm asking is should I just replace the dr side tweeter fo like 50$ or just get a new set of aftermarket tweeters for about the same $ ,... all the speakers are stock,. ?? any input?

Replace all of them if you can. If not, yes do replace the tweeter's with aftermarket. Stock speakers are typically never as good as aftermarket. I prefer Kicker, just so you know if you were wondering about brands.

I have a set of stock tweeters out of my '09 that I'd make you a good deal on if you want to go back with stock.

Infinity but everyone has something different that works well for them and everyone's hearing is different. A buddy of mine kills me with treble because he can't hear it. But the stock is not worth a flip and if you go with aftermarket you will see what we mean...Not only do they sound better but they last way longer.

I ended up going to the local car audio shop and picked up a pair of memphis tweeters with crossovers,.. I hooked them up with the low frequency output to the front door speakers,.. my mids and highs are much more noticable but not overpowering,.. I'm not impressed with the build quality of the tweeters and the crossover uses the same 3.3 microfarad filter caps for the tweeters as the stock ones,.. but I guess thats the easyest way to stop the bass,.. I do like infinity, I had a pair of infinity components in my old truck and see myself going all infinity when the time comes but for now I am verry pleased,..

Thanks for all the input

**oh,.. I just added a 15 ohm resistor to each tweeter and it balanced it out much better
