I have an '06 nismo KC, the one w/ the suicide rear doors, and I wonder if anyone has modified the sealed side windows to open.
I was thinking of some way of hinging it like a vent window.
When the rainy weather starts here the dog will be inside stinking up the interior.
Any ideas? (no sun roof option).

does your back window (one going from cab to bed) not open? mine is a slider that usualy provides enough fresh air when the dog is riding in the cab. sometimes when you have the front windows open though it actually sucks in crap from your bed (dried up pine needles or something) and in through the back window and shoots them into the cab.

I normally just open the front windows and sometimes the rear slider...and then leave the windows cracked overnight (as long as it's not pouring) after the dog has been in the truck. Bathing the dog regularly helps too...clean dogs don't smell as bad as dirty dogs when they are wet (unless you've been swimming them in a stinky lake, but you were talking about rainy weather). Febreze works wonders too. People have told me that my truck doesn't smell like a dog, even though he rides in it all the time.

Do you have or have you considered window visors for the front windows?
I can leave the windows down almost two inches and no water can get in.

After the first few days you don't mind the look. They really do work well.

do this in the rain (and it rains alot here) and the water sucks right in and coats the inside of the windshield.

the in-channel window visors may be the ticket. you can get a good price right from the dealer here in canada as out OEM ones are in-channel and made by Weathertech

Love my vent visors, I didn't like them before but now I know the benefits!
I have the AVS in-channels ...

Don't they make a visor for the back window? I wish my CC had a rear sliding window but can't beat rear defrost, lol ....

Sucks crap keepin' 'em kool

You're right about the rear sliding window sucking in the small stuff from the box.
I shave off most of the dog's fur at the beginning of summer to keep them cool but it keeps growing back!!!
I think I'll do the visor option. I guess I can open the windows in the rain w/o flooding the truck.
Are our trucks the same front door visors as some other NISSAN models?
I have found that the options for my FRONTIER KC are limmited.
I only have the two door windows to do.
Thanks guys.

Yeah, the one and only. I didn't include any of the naughty bits.
The one dog didn't mind being buried but the other wouldn't sit still long enough.
Good old retreivers!!

Put me down as one vote for Vent Visors !

I get them for every vehicle I own. Especially nice in the summer. Let's the cab heat vent and I don't have to worry bout those pesky pop-up summer showers. Always fresh air in there.

The dealer price in Vancouver was $150.00 for 2, same price as 4 for the crew crab-------WTF
The guy in the parts dept didn't know why.
