My truck has the worst heater, thank god the weather is finally getting warmer. I drive a '08 Chevy 2500 HD daily but use my Frontier to drop my son off at daycare in the morning because my Chevy is a regular cab. My son's daycare is about three miles from my house. In the mornings, especially winter the cab is freezing until about 10-15 minutes of driving. I've even tried extended warm up times in the morning, even after 10 minutes of idling the truck there is no warm air until you've driven for more than five miles or so. When I get in my Chevy, no kidding I've got a furnace in less than a minute or so? What gives.

I read somewhere that an air bubble in the system causes this. Mine does it too, Im just too lazy to get it fixed... I could be wrong but I remember reading something about it on a forum here.

Yes, overfill the overflow tank or open the bleeder valve on the passenger side by the firewall. The bleeder valve is just a rubber cap over a nipple held on by a metal clip. Do one of the following options to get the air out of the system while the truck is running and it will warm up faster. My is not as fast as your Chevy by any means but still heats up in 3 to 5 minutes. I think that our thermostats open too quickly but nothing can be done about that. And a V8 is going to warm up faster regardless.

Yea I usually warm mine up in the winter for no joke about 20 minutes to get any kind of warm air. And then it usually blows white flakes all over and snows in my truck.

mine takes about 5 minutes to get hot, but after that it fricken rocks. I can put it on 1 and like 3/4 turn on the dial on heat and it boils.

Mine works great, even in the winter when it was -10F. The interstate is about 1/2 mile from my office, and by the time I've merged on the highway it's blowing hot air, and within 2-3 miles it's a furnace and I have to turn it down.

My '07 Nismo reached full operating temp. (according to the gauge) four minutes after startup.

Measured at the center vent, it blew over 150 degrees on full heat. No kidding. I thought it was going to melt the plastic. I couldnt hold my hand in front of it for more that a few seconds.

Yep like others said air bubble in the system. Soon as you fix that will work properly. I had the same problem took it to nissan and they got it back to me in about 15 minutes or so all ready to go.

The heat in mine is nice and hot, but my feet stay cold. When the heat selector on the foot position, I get heat up top and down on my feet, but the heat on my feet is weak. Is there an adjustment to make the heater blow what is selected on the dial?

When mine is working correctly, it'll cook me after 5 minutes warmup, when it's not working correctly (air bubble in the cooling system), it only throws warm air when I have the RPM's above 1500-2000rpm or so, when idling to goes back to cold. Shi**y coolant system.. some people have NO issues, mine requires a lot of maintenance and attention every few thousand miles, Great AC ! :D

Doesn't seem to burn coolant.
Doesn't leak coolant anywhere as far as I can tell.
when an air bubble makes it way into the system again, begins to overheat at idle, heater stops working
Bleed the system, max out the coolant, works perfect, 4k miles or so later, gotta do it again..
